Radio Broadcaster, Writer, Academic: The Diamond was a Boss Jock & rocknroll DJ at some Americas biggest radio stations.

The Diamond Mine Podcast

Always on the cusp of innovation, in the summer of 2005 Dave Diamond launched a podcast.  His podcast, a reprise of the Diamond Mine Radio Show, was a mixture of the classic, deep, poetic, and rockin Dave Diamond 60’s radio vibe.  The show was recorded for Black Hills State University on the college radio station KBHU.

Three episodes were produced (click to listen):

Episode 1, May 20th, 2005

Episode 2, June 7th, 2005

Episode 3, June 28th, 2005

The Diamond Mine, May – June 2005, Black Hills State University, KBHU FM
– Dave Diamond: Executive Producer, Lead On-Air Talent, Writer
– Dan Patterson: Producer, Editor, Co-Writer, On-Air Talent
– Makaela Heeb: On-Air Talent, Co-Writer

Thanks.

Note: These episodes do contain some RIAA music.  They were created as as a part of an academic project for Black Hills State University, no money was exchanged or profit made, and are covered under an educational license for KBHU and BHSU.  Though these episodes are educational and not for profit,  they episodes will be removed upon request of rights holders.

  1. Where are the other podcasts? Gotta hear more!!!

  2. Hey Raoul – I’m searching for a better audio podcast host – however, I posted several of Diamond’s airchecks and podcasts on a page here: http://www.danpatterson.me/dave-diamond. When I find a nice podcast host and player, I’ll make sure to add the episodes and airchecks here. Stay tuned!

  3. Some of the links aren’t working. Podcast 2 and the jingles for example.

    Thanks!

  4. Hey Raul, Dan Patterson – the site manager and friend of Diamond here. I’ve had to cross-convert a few files. However, I just posted some new airchecks and podcasts. More to come soon. Thanks!
